MyDVDinsider is an online magazine that provides in-depth coverage of the latest DVD and Blu-ray releases. The site features reviews, breaking news, home theater technology and exclusive interviews with stars and filmmakers. It also hosts the “Insider of the Week” series in which experts comment on a new title that they have a unique connection to.



CRAIGH BARBOZA, Editor
MyDVDinsider is the brainchild of Craigh Barboza, who previously oversaw entertainment, cultural trends and lifestyle for USA Weekend magazine, where he was a Senior Editor for 10 years. A graduate of NYU film school, Barboza’s work has appeared in Vibe, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Uptown magazine, AARP: The Magazine, Premiere and MTV.com. In 2009, the University Press of Mississippi published his first book, John Singleton: Interviews, which is part of their acclaimed Conversations with Filmmakers series.

CARLOS WHORLEY, Web Producer 
Born and raised in the Washington, DC area, Carlos Whorley is a software programmer for Kastle Systems, LLC in Arlington, VA. He casually picked up skills in website management while also operating his music promotion and management company, SouthPaw Music Team, LLC.

JACK CURRY, Chief Film Critic
Jack Curry has served as film critic for USA Today, Miami Magazine, Delaware Today, Syracuse City Magazine, and has provided film commentary for the New York Daily News, CNN, Entertainment Tonight and other national outlets. He is working on a book about life and business lessons he has learned interviewing and observing today’s biggest stars.

KEN DANCYGER, Columnist
Ken Dancyger is the former Chair of Undergraduate Film and Television at New York University’s TISCH School of the Arts, where he is a professor. An editor, writer, director and producer for various films, he has also authored seven books, including “The Technique of Film and Video Editing” and “Alternative Scriptwriting.” His current projects include the theory/practice book “Genre Scriptwriting,” the film-history tome “The Greatest: Hollywood in 1939,” a personal memoir titled “The War That Never Ended,” and his first novel, “Murder Not Permitted.” In addition to his active career as a script consultant in the U.S. and overseas, Dancyger also conducts screenwriting and post-production workshops around the world.

TOM NOLAN, Contributing Writer
Tom Nolan, a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal’s arts and book pages, has written for many publications, including Daily Variety, Premiere, Oxford American, and TV Guide. He is the author of Artie Shaw, King of the Clarinet: His Life and Times (Norton) and Ross Macdonald: A Biography (Scribner).

LAUREN COHEN, Contributing Writer
Lauren Cohen has written for various national and local publications. Prior to graduating from the University of Maryland with a journalism degree, she interned for McClatchy-Tribune Information Services and USA Weekend magazine. Cohen is also the recipient of the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association Outstanding News-Editorial Student award. In addition to freelancing, she works full-time for a media research company.
